Police were called at around 6.45pm yesterday (October 19) by paramedics to a home on Woodward Road where a man in his 30s was being treated for stab wounds.
Officers believe that the victim was attacked earlier in the evening on Porters Avenue.
He was taken to hospital for further treatment where his injuries were determined not to be life-threatening or changing.
A teenager was arrested later that day on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
The boy has been released on bail while enquiries continue.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “At 18:41hrs on Sunday, 19 October officers were called by the London Ambulance Service to an address in Woodward Road, Dagenham after someone was being treated for stab wounds.
“It is believed the man in his 30s had been attacked in an incident earlier in the evening on Porters Avenue, Dagenham.
“He was taken to hospital for treatment where his injuries were not deemed life-threatening or life-changing.
“A teenage boy was arrested on Sunday, 19 October on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
“He has since been bailed pending further investigation.
