The DLR has been part suspended for three hours today (December 3) after a reported casualty on the tracks at around 8am.
Emergency services attended Poplar DLR station and a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further information has been shared about the identity of the person.
Officers are investigating the circumstances leading up to their death.
At the time of publication, there is no service between Stratford and Canary Wharf as well as between Poplar and Canning Town.
There is good service on the rest of the line.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called at around 8am today (3 December) to reports of a casualty on the tracks at Poplar DLR station.
“Officers responded with paramedics, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries into the circumstances leading up to their death are ongoing.”
