Popeyes opened on 65 Eltham High Street on Wednesday (August 27), becoming the brand’s 32nd UK site this year and its 10th in London.
Around 40 new jobs have been created as a result of the new restaurant.
Popeyes, which launched in the UK in 2021, has gained a reputation for long queues on opening day, with previous launches in Woolwich and Greenwich Retail Park attracting hundreds of customers.
The chain is best known for its Chicken Sandwich, but the menu also features hot wings, tenders, wraps and seasonal specials such as the Hot Honey range.
Breakfast is served daily from 8am to 10am.
The Eltham opening also featured giveaways, with the first three customers winning free Chicken Sandwiches for a year and others treated to free food and merchandise.
The 66-seat restaurant offers dine-in and takeaway options, with self-service kiosks and app ordering available.
Breakfast is served from 8am to 10am daily.
Popeyes UK chief executive Tom Crowley said: “We can’t wait to open our first Popeyes in Eltham, right on the High Street.
“The love for our Louisiana chicken just keeps growing, and we can’t wait to bring a taste of New Orleans to a new area.”
