Popeyes, in South Street, has made the bid to Havering Council in documents published to the website of current applications.
The chicken shop is open from 8am to 11.59pm Monday to Sunday according to its website, serving Louisiana style chicken, burgers and wraps.
Popeyes launched its first branch in Havering in July 2022, adding to the area’s portfolio of rival eateries including KFC and Wendy’s.

It has yet to be confirmed whether the hours of operation would change if the application to permit the provision of late night refreshment is approved.
Representations in connection to the proposal must be received in writing by April 10.
