Police were called to Plumstead Road SE18 at around 1pm on Friday April 11, following reports of a stabbing near the Greenwich Islamic Centre.
London Ambulance Service found a man in his 30s with stab wounds.
He was taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.
A man in his 30s and a man in his 20s were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
Miles Benjimin, 32, of Harrow Manorway in Greenwich, was later charged with wounding with intent and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
He appeared in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, April 12 and was remanded.
He is due to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on Friday, May 9.
The man in his 20s was de-arrested following further enquiries.
