Bernard Page, 72, of Waverley Crescent in Plumstead, admitted possessing 749 indecent images.
He downloaded or made the images on or before September 12 last year.
Page appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 27.
His case was sent to Woolwich Crown Court for sentencing at a later date.
Page was released on bail with instructions not to have any unsupervised contact with any person under the age of 18.
