I recently visited to try the brand-new festive menu, and it was one of the most enjoyable seasonal dining experiences I have had in a long time.
The restaurant felt instantly warm and inviting, filled with festive decorations, soft lighting, and a relaxed atmosphere that made it the perfect place to escape the cold.

This year’s Christmas menu brings exciting new dishes and the first-ever change to PizzaExpress’ famous Garlic Butter in 60 years.
The new Truffle Garlic Butter is rich and indulgent, giving the much-loved Dough Balls a luxurious twist.
We started with the Dough Balls in Blankets, wrapped in crisp pancetta and served with a honey and mustard dip.

They were soft, fluffy, and packed with flavour, the perfect festive starter.
We also tried the new Cajun Prawns, which were baked in a Cajun spiced garlic butter with roasted peppers, sweet red peppers, and parsley, served with warm dough sticks.
For mains, we shared two pizzas.
The new Prawn Thermidor Romana was a real standout.

It featured a rich, creamy tomato and lobster-style bisque sauce with juicy prawns, mozzarella, garlic oil, and spinach, finished with Roquito Pearl baubles, garlic breadcrumbs, Gran Milano cheese, and a squeeze of lemon.
It felt like the perfect mix of comfort and luxury, full of flavour in every bite.
Our second choice, the classic BBQ Burnt Ends pizza, was just as impressive.
Topped with slow-cooked beef brisket, a hint of chipotle, BBQ sauce, mozzarella, red onion, roasted tomatoes, and parsley, it was spicy, smoky, and completely satisfying.
To finish, we had desserts that were every bit as indulgent as the mains.

The Snowball Dough Balls were warm and soft, dusted with cinnamon and icing sugar, and served with white chocolate and salted caramel dips.
We also shared the Cracking Christmas Brownie, which was gooey inside, topped with vanilla gelato and a smooth chocolate shell.
It was the perfect ending to a festive feast.
Paired with a sweet and fruity Daiquiri, the whole experience felt magical.

PizzaExpress Bexleyheath has truly captured the Christmas spirit with this menu.
From the food to the atmosphere, everything felt festive, flavourful, and full of cheer.
I will definitely be going back before the season ends.
