Penhurst Road, near White Hart Lane, has been shut by police after officers were called to a suspected shooting today (April 29) at 4pm.
At the scene, the teenager was treated at the scene for a gunshot wound.
He was taken to hospital, where he remains.
The Metropolitan Police says that his condition is unknown at this time.
No arrests have been made while investigations are ongoing.
Emergency services are currently at White Hart Lane, with the road shut both ways between Pretoria Road and High Road.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a suspected shooting in Penshurst Road, N17 at 16:00hrs on Tuesday, 29 April.
“A 17-year-old boy was treated at the scene for a gunshot wound by the London Ambulance Service. He was later taken to hospital where he remains. His condition is unknown at this time.
“No arrests have been made at this stage. Penshurst Road is closed while initial enquiries take place.”
