Rodgers Cena, 19, had been heading to his local shop in Peckham on Wednesday (January 22), only for the boy to not return.
Described as “vulnerable”, his parents and family friends are incredibly concerned for him, stating this is completely out of character.
His dad Eduart explained that his wife was preparing to make homemade fresh pizza, and the parents asked their son to pick up some items from the shop.
After a while, they tried ringing him and had no response – and later messages were no longer going through.
The petrified dad then searched “every shop in Peckham” and even checked the CCTV camera in Lidl – where he was expected to shop – and found out he never stepped foot in there.
His dad said: “I want him just to turn up home. We haven’t been able to sleep at all. I have to get an energy drink just to stand up. We will collapse – he is very sweet.
“He never made any mistakes in his life, he’s a very straight guy he talks correct, he never breaks the law.”
The family has lived in Peckham for one year, but Rodgers is known to normally stay at home and be “reserved”, family friend Melissa Corps said.
“It’s just very out of character, he doesn’t really leave the house. He’s never spend the night away, so for him to be missing for two nights now is really scary.”
Since he went missing, Find my iPhone showed his phone was left near to the M25 in Waltham Cross, an area which Rodgers allegedly has no links to.
A bank transaction later showed him in Liverpool Street sometime after.
His dad admitted it’s confusing why he keeps appearing in these different areas.
“He stays in home all the time, playing game. He didn’t like going out,” Mr Cena said.
He added: “I just want to hear from him and for him to say he’s fine.”
Rodgers was last seen wearing a dark puffer coat, grey hoodie and dark joggers.
The Metropolitan Police has been approached for comment.
Anyone with information, or who believes they have seen Rodgers, is asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 3745/23jan25.
