The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust’s (PAHT) communications team, Alex Health, made it to the 2025 HSJ Awards (Health Service Journal) shortlist.
They are in the running for the NHS Communications Initiative of the Year Award.
This is their second shortlisting, having also been recognised for Best Internal Communications Campaign in the CommsHero Awards 2025.
The honours acknowledge the efforts of Jill Hogan and Becky Gill, part of the Alex Health communications team, along with various teams across the Trust, for their “exceptional work” on the communications drive.
Their campaign was instrumental to the successful launch of Alex Health, the Trust’s electronic health record (EHR).
It was PAHT’s largest transformation and the fastest Oracle Health Cerner Millennium EHR implementation in any UK Trust.
Thom Lafferty, chief executive at PAHT, said: “This recognition is well earned and reflects the creativity, commitment, and professionalism demonstrated by Jill and Becky in communications.
“Their contributions were instrumental in readying our teams for the Alex Health rollout and clearly conveying its benefits to both staff and patients.”
The winners of the HSJ Awards will be announced at an awards ceremony in London later this year.
