The incident happened near Our Lady and St Philip school in Sydenham Road at 11.20am today (April 11).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene.

However, a man was pronounced dead shortly after.
Cordons have been put in place in Sydenham Road as the incident is being dealt with.
It is unknown when they will be lifted.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 11.20am this morning (Friday 11 April) to reports of a medical incident in Sydenham Road, SE26.
“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars and an advanced paramedic practitioner.
“Our crews treated a man at the scene. Sadly, despite the best efforts of emergency responders, he died.”
