The Bexley planning authority has confirmed it has no objections to the major housing development after being consulted by Bromley Council, as the site falls within its boundaries.
The planned development is said to be situated approximately 2.7 kilometres from the Bexley borough boundary.
In a decision dated December 19, 2025, Bexley planners said the ‘scale and nature of the scheme would not have a material impact’ on Bexley residents, land use, or local infrastructure.
The development is set to include up to 350 residential properties, half of which are to be affordable homes.
The scheme also has potential community or healthcare floorspace.
Public open space, landscaping, surface water drainage, and associated infrastructure are also part of the development framework.
While most details about the scheme remain open for further consideration, access proposals have already been outlined.
Given that the proposed plans are not expected to affect Bexley’s area, the council has expressed no planning objections towards the scheme at this stage.
The development has been proposed on land south of Burrfield Drive, Waldens Road, Orpington.
The planning application received one document and does not have any currently associated properties.
