Developers Summix have submitted an application to Southwark Council for permission to build family sized social rent housing at Credon House, 72 Verney Road and student accommodation on 2-22 Ossory Road.
The proposal includes transforming Credon House and 72 Verney Road into housing units.
Credon House is set to offer 26 family-sized units, 23 of which will be four-bedroom homes.
These will come with balconies, a rooftop garden, and a ground-floor play area for children, all available for social rent.
On Ossory Road, two currently derelict sites are set to be linked into student accommodation.
Southwark currently has 18,000 people on its housing waiting list, with the average wait time for a three-bedroom home at five years.
Summix, which has a 20-year history of delivering collaborative living and working environments, believes it can assist the council in addressing its housing issue.
Development Director Stuart Black said: “Our developments have been carefully thought through to meet local housing needs and are designed to a high quality.
“We are delighted they have now been submitted to Southwark Council.
“We hope they will be considered by the planning committee late 2025/early 2026.”
