Officers were called to reports of an assault in Old Bethnal Green Road around 7pm yesterday (April 19).
London Ambulance crews also attended and found that a 28-year-old man had been stabbed.
He was taken to hospital for treatment where his injuries were assessed as not life-changing.
A 28-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply drugs and being concerned in supplying controlled drugs.
An investigation is ongoing and anyone with information that could help is asked to call 101 quoting reference 5806/19APRIL.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to reports of an assault in Old Bethnal Green Road, E2 at around 19:00hrs on Saturday, 19 April.
“Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service. A 28-year-old man was found at the scene with stab wounds and was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition was deemed non-life changing.
“A 28-year-old man was later arrested for conspiracy to supply drugs and concerned in supplying controlled drugs.
“The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to call 101 quoting reference 5806/19APRIL.”
