The incident happened in Oakfield Lane near Hawley Road just after 8.40am today (March 31).
Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service crews attended and a child was found injured.
They were taken to hospital for treatment where their injuries were assessed as non-life threatening.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Kent Police were called at 8.42am on Monday 31 March to a collision involving a car and a child pedestrian in Oakfield Lane, Dartford.
“Officers and paramedics attended the scene where the child was treated for injuries.
“They have been taken to hospital for further medical attention.”
