Officers entered a property in Norbury Park yesterday (April 29) following local concerns, leading to a warrant to search the address being granted.
The nature of the drugs and weapons was not revealed, and there were no arrests specified by police.
The raid was carried out by officers from Norbury Park Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT).
SNTs are made up of local Met police officers who work closely with the council, community leaders and residents to identify local policing priorities in each ward across the borough.
A Met spokesperson said: “Your Croydon Officers attached to Norbury Park Safer Neighbourhood Team carried out a successful operation yesterday, executing a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
“Acting on intelligence and community concerns, officers searched a property within the ward and seized a quantity of illegal drugs and weapons.
“This decisive action is part of the team’s ongoing commitment to tackling crime and keeping the local community safe.”
