The data looks at pupils’ average scores in reading and maths, as well as other performance indicators such as the percentage of pupils meeting expected standards as well as achieving at a higher standard.
We have not included special schools in this list.
Newham’s best performing primary school was Tollgate Primary School in Barclay Road, Plaistow, according to the data, with 95 per cent of pupils meeting expected standards and 36pc achieving at a higher standard.
Pupils averaged a reading score of 112 and a maths score of 111.
The expected standard for both reading and maths is a score of 100 and anything more than 109 is considered a higher standard.
The highest scores for reading and maths were registered by Cleves Primary School in Upton Park with 113 and 112 respectively.
Cleves was placed second in the overall rankings, with 93pc of pupils meeting expected standards and 28pc achieving at a higher standard.
The school with the highest percentage of pupils achieving at a higher standards was St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School in Forest Gate with 41pc. It placed fifth overall.
At the other end of the rankings, William Davies Primary School in Stafford Road, Forest Gate was placed as the worst performing primary school out of those with available data in Newham.
A total of 50pc of William Davies Primary School’s pupils met expected standards and 4pc achieved at a higher standard.
The average scores here were 101 for reading and 103 for maths – the lowest in the borough but still above national standards.
Upton Cross Primary School, ranked second bottom, registered the lowest percentage of pupils achieving at a higher level with only 1pc.
