Ofsted inspectors noted: “Pupils soon realise that the school will not give up on them.
“Teachers, support staff, social workers and therapists work together tirelessly.
“Together they ensure that every pupil settles and succeeds to the very best of their ability.”
The report also praised the “broad and ambitious curriculum” and the “LIFE” curriculum, which aids in developing confidence and resilience.
The schools were also commended for their focus on reading and preparing students for future careers.
On average, students at these schools have been excluded three times before joining, and the report highlights their transformation.
Chief executive of the TCES Group, Thomas Keaney, said: “We all feel a sense of enormous pride in the difference we are able to make to these exceptional children’s lives.
“Inclusion sits at the heart of everything we do at TCES, and we are working hard at a national level to share that expertise and knowledge with mainstream schools to improve every SEND child’s experience of education.”
