Engineering work and special timetables will affect Southeastern, Thameslink, DLR and London Overground services.
Here is how each service will be running:
Southeastern
Southeastern will operate a Saturday timetable on New Year’s Eve, with additional late-night trains running after midnight from London Charing Cross, London Cannon Street and London Bridge.
However, major engineering work will mean some changes on several routes.
- No Southeastern trains will run to or from London Victoria.
- Brixton station will be closed all day.
- Waterloo East station will close at 11.45pm.
- There will be no service between London and Beckenham Junction via Herne Hill.
- Off-peak fares will apply all day, except for Travelcards and journeys wholly within the London Travelcard area.
Replacement buses
Replacement buses will run between Denmark Hill and Beckenham Junction, calling at all stations between Herne Hill and Beckenham Junction
The following stations will be closed and served only by replacement buses:
- West Dulwich
- Sydenham Hill
- Penge East
- Kent House
Route changes
- Sole Street line: Trains to Ramsgate and Dover Priory via Chatham will run from London Cannon Street, running non-stop between London Bridge and Rochester or Longfield.
- Maidstone East line: Trains to Ashford International will run from London Charing Cross, running non-stop between London Bridge and St Mary Cray.
- Bexleyheath line: No trains will run from London Victoria, while additional services will run between London Charing Cross and Dartford.
- Bromley South line: No trains will run between London Victoria and Orpington.
- Hayes line: Some services will be diverted to run to and from Orpington, while services via Lewisham will run normally.
Thameslink
Thameslink will also operate a Saturday service on New Year’s Eve, with some additional trains.
- London Blackfriars will be exit-only from 8.30pm.
- No Thameslink trains will call at Blackfriars after 11.30pm, with services resuming from 2am.
- No trains will call at Farringdon after around 12.30am.
Engineering work
- No Thameslink trains will run between London Blackfriars and Bellingham.
- No trains will run between London Blackfriars and Sutton via Mitcham Junction or Wimbledon.
- Replacement buses will run between London Bridge and Bromley South via Bellingham.
- A revised service will operate between Bellingham and Sevenoaks.
London Overground – Windrush line
No trains will run between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction.
An all-night service will run between Highbury & Islington and Crystal Palace or West Croydon.
Replacement bus M will run between Canada Water and Clapham Junction, calling at stations including Surrey Quays, Peckham Rye, Denmark Hill and Clapham High Street.
Southern services will continue to stop at Queens Road Peckham, Peckham Rye and Battersea Park.
Docklands Light Railway (DLR)
- A Saturday daytime service will run.
- All-night services will run through New Year’s Eve and into New Year’s Day.
- Trains will run every 15 minutes.
