This proposed route will connect Clapham Junction and Eltham, serving south London with stops at Tulse Hill and Catford.
The SL15 is set to operate along the A205 South Circular Road.
Due to a low bridge on the A205 at Thurlow Park Road it will be a single-deck bus service, running every 12 minutes from Monday to Saturday between 5am and 12.30am.
On Sundays, all evenings, and early weekday mornings, it will operate every 15 minutes.
TfL is seeking public feedback on this proposal until November 30.
The introduction of the SL15 aims to reduce journey times and provide new, faster connections between local centres, railway stations, and work and leisure destinations.
The route will also create interchanges with 77 other bus routes and eight train stations, including Tube, London Overground, and National Rail services.
TfL has stated that the SL15 aims to reduce waiting times and congestion at bus stops, benefiting customers using routes P13, 160, and 185.
Geoff Hobbs, TfL’s Director of Public Transport Service Planning, said: “Building on the success of the Superloop express bus services across outer London, we continue to look at ways in which we can improve express transport links whilst promoting more sustainable travel between busy parts across London.
“The proposed SL15 route presents a valuable opportunity to offer quicker, more direct journeys, enhancing connectivity between communities and key destinations across south London.
“We encourage all stakeholders and members of the public to take part in the consultation and share their feedback.”
The SL15 will be part of the Superloop express bus network, which has transformed travel across London.
With the inclusion of BL1, the Superloop bus network has increased to 203 kilometres, adding almost eight million kilometres per year to the capital’s network.
Earlier this year, TfL revealed plans to expand the express bus network even further, which could bring the benefits of the network to even more people in outer London.
TfL has also proposed a review of local bus stop arrangements around Clapham Junction and the conversion of a disused coach bay at Eltham station to support the SL15 route.
This will provide quicker connections between key locations and create new, direct bus journey opportunities for customers.
