The KT3 postcode, which covers New Malden, is proving a popular option for both buyers and renters, according to property experts.

Prices are relatively low in New Malden when compared to its Wimbledon and Richmond neighbours.

Flats in Wimbledon and Richmond cost 46 per cent and 80 per cent more than they do in New Malden, respectively, according to property experts Barratt London.

A new batch of flats has just hit the market in New Malden, as Barratt London launches The Bradbury Apartments at Sterling Place.

The development includes 94 one, two and three-bedroom homes.

The homes all have their own private balconies or terraces.

There’s also an on-site gym and a yoga studio for residents to enjoy a luxurious lifestyle despite the low prices.

Prices start from £390,000, making it one of the more affordable ways to get onto the property ladder in this part of London.

Sterling Place residents are well-positioned to enjoy a variety of green spaces in and around New Malden.

Within walking distance, Beverley Park offers sports facilities and open areas for relaxation.

Manor Park is also nearby, providing additional recreational options.

For those seeking more expansive natural settings, Richmond Park and Wimbledon Common are just a short drive away, offering vast open spaces and scenic beauty.

The development itself includes landscaped podium gardens, contributing to the area’s greenery and providing residents with private outdoor spaces.

With strong transport links, Sterling Place is ideal for city commuters, with trains reaching London Waterloo in as little as 24 minutes, and Clapham Junction in 15.

It also sits close to Motspur Park and Raynes Park stations, all within walking distance of the new apartments.

The area is also served by bus routes, with services connecting to Kingston, Wimbledon, and Richmond.

New Malden High Street is buzzing with a diverse food and drink scene, featuring a range of authentic Asian eateries, modern fusion spots, and lively pubs and bars.

Just a 15-minute drive away, Kingston upon Thames offers the popular Bentall Centre, a shopping haven with 75 stores and over 1,000 brands to explore.

Meanwhile, a short seven-minute drive from Sterling Place takes you to Wimbledon Village, home to independent shops and a weekly artisanal food market by Wimbledon Common.

Joseph Antoniazzi, Sales and Marketing Director for Barratt West London, said: “As one of New Malden’s largest private residential developments, residents at Sterling Place benefit from the desirable South West lifestyle, without the associated price tag of its neighbours.

“Offering a rich history and reputation as a lively cultural hub, New Malden also presents a strong investment opportunity having seen over a 75 per cent increase in property value over the past decade, significantly outperforming Greater London’s 58 per cent growth.

“The tallest building in the development, the apartments offer elevated views across the borough, with a gym and yoga studio on the doorstep, these apartments are a rare find on the market.”
