RAAZ, meaning “secret” in Hindi, will offer contemporary Indian cuisine with Michelin-level precision.
The restaurant is led by chef Imran Mansuri, who has trained at Michelin-starred Tamarind and Benares, led the kitchen at Jamavar, and most recently served as executive chef at Kolamba.
Mr Mansuri said: “We’re serving the kind of modern Indian food you’d happily cross London for, only now it’s on your doorstep.”
The menu will feature Cornish lamb chops with kadai mushrooms and a soft-yolk quail egg, wild garlic chicken chop with charred broccoli, and a Malabar fish curry made with wild seabass.
Much of the seasonal produce will be sourced from Essex farms.
The drinks menu includes a turmeric gin and tonic, a jalapeno-guava margarita, and a Lychee 75.
The wine list is designed to complement the food, with options for both casual and celebratory occasions.
The restaurant will seat 60 guests indoors and 14 on its terrace.
The interior will feature warm wood panelling, leather banquettes, floral accents, and a state-of-the-art sound system.
Located at 113 Lower Richmond Road, RAAZ will be open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Sunday.
It will be closed on Mondays.
RAAZ is the latest in a series of high-profile restaurant openings south of the river.
A refreshed Christmas menu is already in development.
Diners can expect a range of options, from happy-hour bites to group feasts.
RAAZ aims to bring a new level of modern Indian dining to the Putney neighbourhood.
The opening is expected to draw attention from both locals and food lovers across London.
