The new gym, located on Ravenswood Crescent, is the third site for 2BX – a club that started out in local church halls and has grown into one of Bromley’s best-known names in combat sports.
Now, it’s home to the South East headquarters of GFTeam, a global Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu organisation ranked among the top academies in the world.
GFTeam’s athletes placed second and ninth at last year’s BJJ World Championships for women and men respectively, and the team recently merged with fellow elite outfit JiuArt to form a new competitive powerhouse.
Alongside daily BJJ classes, the gym offers Muay Thai, MMA, No Gi grappling, boxing, and self-defence sessions – all led by experienced instructors, including former professional fighters.
Simon Daniels, Vice President of 2BX, said: “This gym represents years of work and a real belief in what martial arts can offer people.
“Whether you’re aiming to compete or just want to build confidence, we want this to be a place where everyone feels welcome.”
The facility includes a professional-grade MMA cage, large matted area, changing rooms, showers, and an on-site shop selling martial arts gear.
It’s open seven days a week, with a mix of kids’, adults’ and women-only classes, as well as personalised 1-to-1 training.
To mark the opening, 2BX is offering an early bird deal – unlimited classes for £89.99 a month for adults and £79.99 for children. The offer is only available for a limited time.
There’s also a focus on practical self-defence, with sessions that teach skills for real-life situations, including bullying prevention for younger members.
