Police were called to Tanfield Avenue, Neasden, at 9pm on Monday (July 7) after reports of gunshots.
Officers and paramedics found a 30-year-old man with gunshot wounds.
He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
His injuries were later confirmed as not life-threatening or life-changing.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “At around 21:00hrs on Monday, 7 July officers were called by the London Ambulance Service to an incident in Tanfield Avenue, NW2.
“Officers attended the scene alongside paramedics and found a 30-year-old man with gunshot wounds.
“The man was taken to hospital where his injuries were deemed not to be life-changing or life-threatening.
“No arrests have been made at this time and a crime scene remains in place while officers continue to investigate.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or contact ‘X’@METCC and quote CAD7958/07JULY.”
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
A crime scene was in place overnight as investigations continued.
A picture from the scene shows a police cordon in Tanfield Avenue, which was closed near the junction with Randall Avenue and Crest Road.
Residents were asked to avoid the area while police worked at the scene.
The incident caused disruption in the neighbourhood, with officers remaining in the area throughout the night.
