Nawabs Kitchen London Ltd – which operates out of unit 6, 83-95 Hainault Road – was rated a one out of five for its food hygiene after an inspection from the Food Standards Agency (FSA) on June 30.
A Freedom of Information request submitted by the Recorder has now revealed the full inspection report, which details that a “major improvement” to the takeaway’s hygiene standards is necessary.
During the visit, the food safety officer identified that chopping boards were “damaged” and “scored” which could “pose a risk of contamination”.

An electrical fly killer was also damaged, which the takeaway was told must be replaced or repaired under pest proofing requirements.
Several other pieces of equipment were identified as needing cleaning, according to the report, including the kitchen and hallway floors, kitchen walls, hand basins, stoves and fridges.
The report ordered the takeaway to “thoroughly clean” these areas to “avoid cross contamination”.

Also identified by the inspector was that some food items were opened but not given new date labels.
Management of food safety at Nawabs Kitchen London was found to need “major improvement” as well, with no allergen table available on site, the report said.

The business was told by the FSA to provide a food safety management system and complete records, including for cooking temperatures and deliveries.
According to the report, the takeaway is set for a revisit as part of further action from the FSA.
Nawabs Kitchen London was incorporated in December 2024, according to Companies House, and has no available website or telephone number.
The Recorder could not reach the takeaway for comment.
