It can often take ages to dry indoors without assistance which could cause musty smells to develop as a result.
However, one mum has shared a tactic she uses to get clothes dry quicker without needing to use the tumble dryer.
Gemma Bird, who appears on ITV’s Lorraine Save Squad, shared a video to her ‘moneymumofficial’ TikTok account showing a method she utilises in the colder months.
This is said to reduce the drying time to just a couple of hours, as reported by The Mirror.
The mum-of-two is a popular influencer who shares money-saving tips for tasks around the home.

Gemma shows herself adding clothes to an airer and positioning it close to a radiator.
She then covers the airer with a bed sheet, tucking the sheet in at the bottom of the area, leaving a small amount of space for air to escape.
