Rebecca Pells and her daughter Shannon Wilderspin are opening a physical venue for their business, The Beauty of Aesthetics, in on March 8.
The business originally began in Rebecca’s (Becky’s) home in March 2024 before they moved their operations into a room inside Essex Glow tanning salon in Whitchurch Road, Harold Hill.
With business expanding and more services being offered, Becky deemed the time right to open up their first physical venue.
“People can expect a red carpet and gold bollards at our grand opening – we are going all out,” said Becky.
“Both Shannon and I will be there on the night to talk to any potential clients and people will be able to come in and see what we’re offering.”
The “grand opening” will be on March 8 from 6pm.
The Beauty of Aesthetics was recognised in two different categories at the UK Hair and Beauty Awards 2024.
“We’re now going from just the aesthetics side of things to offering a hairdresser chair, a nail bar, hair washing and more,” said Becky.
“We’re not employing but we are renting a hairdresser chair – this would be a base where someone can bring their clients.”

Becky described the opening of the salon as “a massive achievement”, after Shannon said she survived an abusive relationship.
“We’ve both struggled in past life”, Shannon said.
“We are ecstatic to get the business off the ground and welcome new faces as well as our returning clients.”
On top of their own services, the duo offer aesthetic training to beauticians but are now expanding to offer beauty training courses for the likes of nails, waxing, eyelashes and massages.
Becky said that she would like to help college leavers with a direct pathway into the beauty industry.
“People who haven’t been to us before can expect us to be very friendly, talkative and bubbly,” Becky said.
“Yes, we are a business but we’re not all about taking people’s money.
“We’re not afraid to say no to somebody – if someone comes to us for a treatment that we feel isn’t in their best interest or they may have some form of body dysmorphia then we will tell them that this isn’t what they need.
“Both Shannon and I are very friendly and outgoing so we’ve found that we’ve gained many friends throughout our time.”
