Emergency services were called with reports of an incident in Montfichet Road at 8.549pm on April 25.
At the scene, a 23-year-old man was located after having fallen from a height.
He was given immediate treatment but was pronounced dead a short while later.
Formal identification has yet to take place, however his next of kin have been informed and will be treated by specialist officers.
The death is being treated as unexplained but is not thought to be suspicious.
A cordon is in place affecting Stratford City Bus Station while enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “On Friday, 25 April police were called by the London Ambulance Service to Montfichet Road, E20 at 20:49hrs on Friday, 25 April following reports that a man had fallen from a height.
“The 23-year-old received immediate treatment from emergency services but despite their best efforts, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

“A formal identification is yet to take place, his next of kin have been informed, they will be supported by specialist officers.
“The death was confirmed to be unexplained but non-suspicious.
“A cordon remains in place around Stratford City Bus Station while enquiries are on-going.”
