At the junction of Mollison Drive and Stafford Road in Wallington, the words “look right” were painted on the road alongside a left-turn arrow.
The issue was reported anonymously on FixMyStreet on Saturday (July 12).
The user reported: “This is very dangerous, please fix asap before a pedestrian is run over.”
The complaint was sent to Sutton Council less than a minute after it was made.
A spokesperson for Sutton Council today told Your Local Guardian: “Thank you to the member of the public who brought this to our attention.
“On receiving the information, the Council immediately notified our contractor who visited the site last night (July 14) and corrected it.”
