Paramedics were called at 3pm today (July 4) with reports of an incident in Middleton Road.
An ambulance crew and an incident response officer were dispatched to the road, where they discovered two people injured.
One patient died at the scene. The second was discharged.
Middleton Road remains cordoned off following the incident.
We have contacted the Metropolitan Police for a comment.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 3pm today (4 July) to reports of a road traffic collision in Middleton Road, Carshalton.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene including an ambulance crew and an incident response officer.
“Sadly one patient died at the scene. We checked a second person over and discharged them.”
