Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (MTVH) has named Duncan Brown as CFO, succeeding Ian Johnson, who announced his retirement in January.
Mr Brown brings more than 20 years of experience in senior financial and operational roles across the affordable housing sector.
Mr Brown said: “I’m so proud to be joining MTVH at such an important and exciting time for the organisation.
“I’ve long admired MTVH’s values, ambition and impact, and I’m looking forward to working alongside Mel, the board and the talented team here to help shape the future.
“With strong financial foundations already in place, I’m looking forward to building on that platform — supporting MTVH to deliver more safe, affordable and sustainable homes, and make a real difference to the communities we serve.”
Mr Brown joins MTVH from housing group VIVID, where he also served as CFO. He created VIVID’s first sustainability strategy and was involved in the creation of the Sustainability Reporting Standards for housing associations. He was also a key member of the team that successfully delivered the merger of First Wessex and Sentinel to form VIVID in 2017.
During his time at VIVID, he raised more than £1.3 billion in funding, delivered the sector’s first green loan, and helped establish its sustainability strategy.
He will officially take up the role in July 2025.
