The Met Office has forecast an active weather pattern for Greater London spanning from Thursday, January 8, to Wednesday, January 14.
Today, the area will experience cloudy and misty conditions, with morning drizzle intensifying into heavier rain by the afternoon.
Winds will strengthen, particularly in coastal areas, with gale-force conditions possible later in the day and overnight.
Temperatures are set to reach a high of 8C.
By Friday, January 9, the cold and cloudy weather will continue with further outbreaks of rain and snow in the morning, again accompanied by strong winds.
Conditions will dry out from the west as the day progresses, bringing brighter skies and easing winds.
Saturday, January 10, will be brighter, but cloudier conditions are likely in the far east, with overnight frosts and icy patches expected.
Sunday, January 11, promises to be a dry, bright, and cold day, although cloud is likely to build later in the day.
Overnight, frost and icy patches are expected.
Rain and possibly some snow may be seen on Monday, January 12, though confidence remains low at this stage.
Tuesday, January 13, is anticipated to be mild and cloudy, with possible early rain expected to clear throughout the day.
Wednesday, January 14, will remain cloudy, with light rain expected at times.
