The Mercury is holding its first-ever Pop Con Convention, taking place until Sunday, August 10.
It features a variety of interactive activities planned for fans of all ages.
These include cosplay, film screenings, merchandise stalls, live entertainment and gaming.
Visitors will also have the chance to see a real-life DeLorean car, made famous by the Back to the Future films.
Natalie Bays, centre manager for The Mercury, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to bring the community together for our very first Pop Con Convention.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate creativity, self-expression, and shared fandoms — right here in the heart of Romford.”
Throughout the week, there will be a movie marathon, a watercolour workshop, and a cosplay accessories workshop, as well as a mascot meet and greet, battle games bonanza, and karaoke under the dome.
The week will end with Marvin’s Great Create Club on Sunday, August 10.
All activities are free unless otherwise stated, and no pre-booking is required.
Natalie said: “We’ve curated this event to have something for everyone — whether you’re a die-hard cosplayer, a retro film fan, or just looking for fun activities for the kids over the summer holidays.”
