Emergency services were called to Meadow View Road in Croydon yesterday (October 11) at around 9:31am following reports of a man with stab wounds.
An air ambulance was despatched to the scene along with ambulance crews.
In a statement, London Ambulance Service say three people were treated at the scene with one rushed to hospital – a man in his 30s who was later assessed with non-life-threatening injuries.
A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and currently remains in police custody.
Police are urging any witnesses to come forward.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called on Saturday 11 October at 9.33pm to reports of a stabbing in Meadow View Road, Thornton Heath.
“We sent resources including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a response car, an incident response officer and London’s air ambulance.
“We treated two people at the scene and took one to hospital and another to a London major trauma centre.”
A Met Police spokesperson said: “At 21:31hrs on Saturday, 11 October, police were called to a report of a man with stab wounds on Meadow View Road, Croydon.
“A man in his 30s was treated at the scene and taken to hospital where he was assessed to have non-life-threatening injuries.
“Officers arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in custody.
“An investigation is ongoing.
