For the first time, customers will be able to order the Big Tasty as a single or a double, with both these patties being upgraded to the quarter-pounder size.
You will also be allowed to decide whether or not to add bacon to your burger.

However, even the original burger will face a few changes, with the Emmental cheese being swapped out for white cheddar. The square lettuce slices have also been replaced with shredded lettuce.
There is also going to be a new toasted quarter-pounder bun to ensure everything stays inside this jam-packed item.
All in all, the returned burger item features a British and Irish beef quarter-pounder patty, two slices of white cheddar cheese, lettuce, onions, tomato and Big Tasty sauce, as well as a toasted sesame-topped bun.
Those ordering the double will also get an extra patty, as well as an additional slice of cheese.
Speaking about the Big Tasty’s return, Thomas O’Neill, the head of menu at McDonald’s UK&I, told the Metro: “The Big Tasty has always been about bold, craveable flavour – and this year we’ve taken it up a notch.
