The Metropolitan Police was called with reports of an incident in Matthews Close at 6.10pm on August 24.
Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service, with London’s Air Ambulance landing in a nearby park.
At the scene, a man in his 30s was found suffering injuries and was taken to hospital where his condition has been confirmed as non-life threatening.
A 49-year-old man from Havering has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of an offensive weapon, affray, and criminal damage.
He remains in police custody at this time whilst enquiries are ongoing.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to a report of a stabbing in Matthews Close, Romford at 1810hrs on Sunday, 24 August.
