Masala Inn, a small eatery in south east London, scooped the award at The English Curry Awards 2025.
It was named the top spot in the capital for its “delicious” food and “top-notch” service.
The restaurant, which is open every day, offers both dine-in and takeaway options.
A main course here will cost around £15.
With a 4.7-star rating on Tripadvisor based on more than 400 reviews, it’s clear this place is a favourite among diners.

In the national awards, Sher Khan in Alnwick, Northumberland, was crowned Curry Restaurant of the Year.
It also won the accolade for the best curry house in the North East.
Other winners include Aroma Asian Restaurant in Burnley and Spice n Spirits in Little Hulton, Salford.
