Two people were stopped near Martins Corner at around 3.15pm today (March 28).
During a search, a knife was reportedly recovered and a male was arrested in connection with the incident.
Police enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Two individuals were stopped in the vicinity of Martins Corner, Dagenham at around 3.15pm on Friday, 28 March.
“During a search, a knife was recovered and one male was arrested.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
