Prices are often at their lowest when tickets first go on sale. This is because Easyjet follows a dynamic demand pricing model, so when demand is low – like the very second seats are released, the prices are at their rock bottom.
Martin says: “This has been a very successful technique for many people, and indeed if you want certainty of a cheap price it’s worth doing. Do benchmark what a good price on that route is beforehand, just so you can check if it’s worth it.
“Though of course, if a particular flight is very substantially under-booked later on, you could get seats even cheaper then – that’s just far more difficult to predict.”
When does Easyjet release its tickets?
This happens in several batches throughout the year.
But, just because the flights have just gone on sale, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re getting the best deal. It’s worth checking with other providers and trying a few different dates, options, and checking nearby airports to make sure you’re really getting a bargain.

In a previous post, Martin also explained abut EasyJet ‘dynamic pricing’, where the price of your flight depends on the demand at the time you book, so it’s worth checking through the morning to see when your flight is on sale.
“Sometimes we’ve seen different flights to different places coming at different times during the morning,” he said.
“So how cheap can it be? Really cheap. Possibly the cheapest you’ll ever get the flights, but this is not guaranteed. It does not always work. It is a case of trial and error.”
