They will take to the stage in Victoria Park on Saturday June 20 with a full line-up to be announced.
Last year the festival – taking place in the Lido Field at the Tower Hamlets Park – held a successful debut featuring acts such as Massive Attack, Charli XCX, Jamie xx and London Grammar.
Boasting sustainable credentials and a daily slate of emerging and established support acts curated by each headliner, the festival is back for 2026 and will run over 10 days.
The band said: “We’ve made some of our best memories touring in London, from our first ever show at Oslo through to playing Alexandra Palace earlier this year.
“We’re over the moon to announce our biggest show yet in the city next summer, alongside a line-up of some of our favourite artists. This is going to be special. See you all next June.”
Hertfordshire-born duo Chris Davids and Liam Ivory started out in 2011 and have released three studio albums Portraits (2015), Kingdoms In Colour (2018) and Hallucinating Love (2025), and collaborated with artists, including Holly Walker, North Downs, Khruangbin, Andreya Triana and Gaidaa,
Characterised by their layered, soulful grooves that blend electronica with diverse vocals and instruments they are credited with bringing a deeply emotive organic dimension to the genre.
Over the years they have played everywhere from Glastonbury to the Sydney Opera House and headed out on sell out tours of the UK, EU and North America.
LIDO Festival organisers say the event this year will include a midweek programme In The Neighbourhood providing free arts and wellbeing activities for the community.
Once again the festival will be committed to setting a new benchmark for sustainability with a green power strategy including London’s first main stage powered by a 3MWh solar-charged battery combined with hydrogen and portable battery technologies, sustainable food concessions, and zero landfill waste.
Jim King, of festival organisers AEG Presents said: “LIDO’s first year was an incredible moment for London with exceptional performances, a perfect setting in Victoria Park and a real step forward in how we can deliver live music more sustainably.
“We’re excited to build on that success and return in 2026. We’re delighted to welcome Maribou State as our first headliner to set the tone for what’s to come… unforgettable live shows with world-class artists, and a festival that truly feels like summer in the city.”
Tickets for Maribou State go on general sale on Friday October 24 at 10am. www.lidofestival.com
