Carmie Sellitto, 26, bought the extravagant fruit on a whim while shopping with his parents at the iconic department store in Knightsbridge, London, on Monday (Jan 20).
Intrigued by their premium presentation, Carmie wanted to see if the costly grapes were worth the hefty price tag.
The luxury grapes, imported from Japan, were double the size of regular ones and came in an elegant brown bag with Japanese branding.
But despite their impressive size and lavish packaging, Carmie was left underwhelmed revealing they were no better than the £3 grapes he later bought from M&S.

“I hate to say it but they’re just absolutely amazing.
“The thing is for me, when I’m eating grapes I want there to be a decent crunch.
“There is no crunch.”
“Presentation on these, I’m going to give a nine. Taste I’m going to give an 8.5.”
