Shane Doyle, 44, has only been recently released from custody when he attended a gathering at Lunedale Road on February 8 this year.
However the celebration took a violent turn as a man and two women were attacked.
One woman had been grabbed by the throat, pushed down the stairs, kicked and punched.
She suffered cuts to her face and arm and had a fractured hand and dislocated knee.
Doyle also punched a man in the chest, prompting him to leave.
He then attacked a second woman who tried to shield the first victim by repeatedly punching her in the head and chest, as well as snatching her phone as she tried to call for help.
As the women tried to flee the scene, Doyle threatened to kill them.
But he then left the property which allowed the victims to lock themselves inside and call police at around 8.30pm.
During his arrest, Doyle, of no fixed address, shouted at officers and assaulted two of them and spat at them while inside the police vehicle.
Officers also found a knife in his pocket when he was searched.
He was later charged with grievous bodily harm, two counts of assault by beating, possession of a bladed article, possession of an offensive weapon and two counts of assault on an emergency worker.
Later he denied the assaults but was convicted following a trial.
On October 3 at Maidstone Crown Court, he was sentenced to five years nad 11 months in prison.
A restraining order was also issued to protect the three victims.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Julia Dell said: “This was a brutal and sustained attack that left multiple victims physically and emotionally traumatised.
“Doyle showed a complete disregard for the safety of others, including our officers who responded to protect those in danger.
“His conviction and sentence reflect the seriousness of his actions, and we hope it brings some measure of justice and reassurance to the victims.”
