Metropolitan Police officers were called to the junction of Faraday Road and Bellegrove Road just before 11.30am today (April 27) to reports that a man had been hurt by a fallen tree.
Other emergency attended the scene alongside the Met Police.
A man was taken to hospital.
His injuries have been assessed as not life-threatening.
It is believed the tree fell after being struck by a bus, with the driver stopping at the scene.
Enquiries will be made to establish the circumstances.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “We were called at 11:24hrs on Sunday, 27 April to reports that a man had been injured by a falling tree at the junction of Faraday Road and Bellegrove Road, Welling.
“Officers responded with other emergency services.
“A man was taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.
“It’s thought the tree fell after being struck by a bus.
“Further enquiries will take place to establish the circumstances.
“The driver of the bus stopped at the scene.”
