Firefighters were called to the St James’ area of Westminster at around 10.30am yesterday (November 25).
Paramedics also arrived and treated a man at the scene before taking him to hospital where his condition is not known.
A cordon was placed around the Guards Crimean War Memorial at the junction of Waterloo Place and Pall Mall.
A 159 bus is visible within the cordon surrounded by the emergency services
The emergency services were supported by London’s Air Ambulance.
An LFB spokesperson said: “Firefighters were called to a road traffic collision on Regent Street in Westminster.
“A double decker bus was in collision with a pedestrian, who was rescued by firefighters and taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.
“Control Officers took the first of three calls at 1031 and mobilised two fire engines and a Fire Rescue Unit from Lambeth and Euston fire stations to the scene.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 10.28am this morning (25 November) to reports of a road traffic collision in Pall Mall, SW1Y.
“We sent an ambulance crew, a cycle paramedic, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the scene.
“We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre by road.”
