The incident happened on Thursday, May 8, after officers began following the vehicle along the M25 towards Romford.
According to police, the Mitsubishi was deliberately driven into patrol vehicles in an attempt to flee the scene.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of multiple offences and remains in police custody.
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to call 101.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Yesterday, traffic officers pursued a stolen Mitsubishi on the M25, towards Romford.
“It had purposely rammed police vehicles in order to avoid capture.
“One man was arrested on suspicion of multiple offences.
“He remains in custody.
“If you have any information, please call 101.”
