The moment we stepped inside, it felt like we had travelled back in time, the kind of old-world elegance you rarely see anymore.
Our room was absolutely huge, with high ceilings, beautiful period features, and a bed so comfortable I could have happily stayed in it all weekend.
One night here feels like stepping into another era — in the best way (Image: Holly Brencher) Before dinner, we spent an hour in the hotel’s beautiful spa, which was the perfect way to unwind.
The facilities were immaculate and serene, but our absolute favourite was the outside hot tub.
Fresh air, warm bubbles, and pure quiet — a perfect pre-dinner pause (Image: Holly Brencher) Sitting in the warm, bubbling water with the fresh air on our faces and views of the gardens was pure bliss, and it set the tone for a wonderfully relaxing evening ahead.

We chose the Taste of the Season menu, priced at £105 per person, and it was nothing short of magical.
Only 30 guests are seated for the meal, making it an intimate, calm and personal experience like nothing I have ever had before.
A meal crafted by a MasterChef champion — unforgettable from start to finish (Image: Holly Brencher) The evening began with canapés and an amuse-bouche, followed by warm granary bread from the local Silvertree Bakery with estate dairy cultured butter.
Each course was a masterpiece in flavour and presentation, but my personal favourite was the burrata with pea and mint gazpacho and artichoke.
It was so fresh, vibrant, and delicately balanced that I could have happily eaten it twice.
From there, we enjoyed a perfectly cooked crispy Burford brown egg with barbecued leek and tartare sauce, melt-in-the-mouth Cornish monkfish with Thai spices and Stornoway black pudding, and a beautifully tender beef rump cap with Jerusalem artichoke and pickled pear.
Dessert was a rich Manjari chocolate fondant tart with garden mint ice cream — the perfect sweet ending to a flawless meal.
Nature’s finest, harvested on-site: Mallory Court’s own honey is a quiet star of the menu (Image: Holly Brencher) What made the evening even more memorable was knowing that so many of the ingredients came straight from the grounds of Mallory Court itself.
Their extensive herb garden and vegetable patches supply the kitchen with an incredible variety of fresh, seasonal produce, which you can truly taste in every bite.
And just when we thought the night couldn’t get any better, award-winning chef Stu Deeley, who won MasterChef: The Professionals in 2019, came into the restaurant after service to speak to each guest individually.

It was such a lovely, personal touch and made the whole evening feel even more special.
The next morning, we enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast before reluctantly checking out, still talking about the night before.
If you want an escape where luxury, relaxation, and outstanding food come together perfectly, Mallory Court and The Warwick are worth every penny.
I left already planning my return.
