Sky Live, a high-tech attachment for Sky Glass, was launched in 2023 and promised to change the way people watched television forever.
The service allowed households to partake in motion-controlled games, video calls and fitness classes.
Families could also remotely watch live events together via a small live feed in the corner featuring their loved ones.

Sky Live to be axed with huge refunds for customers across the UK
Upon release, Sky praised the feature as a “clever entertainment device that will transform the way you use your TV.”
However, to get the gadget, customers would have to pay an extra £6 a month, something that appears to have killed the project off.
As of yesterday (Thursday, December 4), the feature no longer works, with customers being told to return the item using a prepaid envelope.
Discussing the axe in a community post, Sky said: “We understand this news may be disappointing to people who have enjoyed using Sky Live, and we’re sorry about that.”
The company added that anyone who bought the add-on is being refunded up to £290.
This money is to be automatically credited back to accounts based on what each household already paid.

Despite this, Sky has insisted that a number of interactive features will live on, including games like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. These are set to remain on Sky Glass and Sky Stream at no extra cost.
A spokesperson for Sky said the decision had been made so it could focus on “faster, simpler products, unbeatable content and brilliant service.”
It added that Sky Live had been a valuable lesson and that the project will shape its offering going forward.
