The M4 has been shut eastbound between J3 and J2 since around 2.30pm today (April 29).
National Highways has urged motorists to allow plenty of time and plan ahead of their journey if travelling in the area.
The #M4 in #GreaterLondon remains closed eastbound between J3 (#Cranford) and J2 (#Brentford) due to a collision. All emergency services are still working at the scene.
Lane 2 is still also closed westbound.

The incident has caused miles of congestion on approach as the incident is dealt with by emergency services.
It is unknown when all traffic restrictions will be lifted.
We have contacted Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service for further information.
The full statement from National Highways reads: “The M4 in Greater London is closed eastbound between J3 (Cranford) and J2 (Brentford) due to a serious collision.
“All emergency services including the Metropolitan Police are in attendance.
“National Highways Traffic Officers are also on scene providing assistance with traffic management.
“As a result of this incident, lane 2 (of 2) is also closed on the westbound carriageway to allow for emergency service access to the scene.”
