The incident is happening between Junction 30 (Thurrock) and Junction 29 (Romford), just north of the Dartford Crossing, causing major delays for drivers.

Emergency services, including Essex County Fire and Rescue Service and Essex Police, are on scene dealing with the incident.
All lanes are stopped while crews tackle the fire, with traffic backing up for around three miles towards the Dartford Tunnels.
Drivers are being warned to expect delays of up to 30 minutes.
Officers say they hope to reopen at least one lane past the scene as soon as it is safe to do so.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time for journeys and consider alternative routes while the incident continues.
