Police were called to the London-bound carriageway near Folkestone last Tuesday (September 30) at 4.33pm to a two-vehicle crash.
A heavy goods vehicle and black BMW were involved in the incident.
No serious injuries were reported, Kent Police has said.
Officers at the scene arrested a man, 32, and he has since been bailed.
Police are appealing for anyone with information regarding the black BMW, which believed to have been travelling from the Folkestone Harbour area prior to its involvement in the collision.

Drivers with dashcam, who may have been in the area at the time of the incident, are also asked to check for footage.
